About this Opportunity As a Carer Coach, you'll deliver one-one-one and group coaching sessions that help carers build resilience, agency and hope. You'll support carers to explore their goals, reflect on their journey, and take practical steps toward wellbeing, all through a non-therapeutic, strengths-based approach.We’re seeking someone who thrives in a reforming space and embraces change with confidence and flexibility. You’ll bring experience in community services, allied health or peer support, along with strong communication skills, emotional maturity and a trauma-informed approach.Your ability to empower carers through active listening and smart goal setting will be essential, as will your familiarity with carer services such as the NDIS, My Aged Care, and mental health supports. A commitment to inclusion, self-reflection and continuous learning will ensure you succeed and grow in this role.You will receive comprehensive training, mentoring and supervision. We’ll support your professional development and reflective practice, helping you grow as a coach and leader in your community. Community engagement / networking and establishing referral pathways will be a key aspect of this role and you will work autonomously while being a supportive and flexible team member. To be successful in this role : Minimum Diploma in Coaching, Counselling, Community Services or related field Right to work within Australia Current valid Driver’s Licence and the ability to undertake some travel NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate (free online course) Satisfactory National Police Records Check NDIS Worker Screening Check Working with Children's Check (Employee / Paid)Wellways connects people, strengthens families, and transforms communities for individuals of all ages experiencing disabilities or challenges to their social and emotional wellbeing.
