A$150,000.00 / yr - A$155,000.00 / yr

ROLE LOCATION : Queensland – Sunshine Coast, Maroochydore

REPORTING TO : Construction Manager

ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a dynamic Project Manager – Design and Construction to oversee projects from concept to completion. This role is perfect for an experienced construction professional ready to transition from a site-based role into a broader project delivery capacity.

Whether you’re an experienced Design and Construct Project Manager, Contracts Manager or Design Manager with 5+ years of experience, we want to hear from you. This is your opportunity to take ownership, showcase your expertise, and drive project success.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial construction methods, a collaborative approach, and the ability to challenge the status quo for continuous improvement.

Familiarity with Procore is highly desirable.

Your mission : To deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while proactively identifying and mitigating risks.

Interstate travel : Required occasionally, with trips typically lasting one day or overnight on a fortnightly / monthly basis.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES – PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Engage and manage design and engineering consultants.
  • Oversee consultant deliverables and ensure timely submissions.
  • Review and enhance design documentation for buildability and cost efficiency.
  • Prepare and manage tenders, including assessment and negotiation.
  • Administer Principal Contracts and manage client-side obligations.
  • Monitor project progress, track KPIs, and ensure compliance.
  • Oversee Practical Completion Certificates and asset handovers to operations.
  • SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES – DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT

  • Assist acquisition and development managers with new projects.
  • Conduct due diligence on site conditions and buildability for potential developments.
  • Maintain and update design briefs and principal project requirements.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Qualifications in Project Management and / or Construction Management, with experience managing design and construct projects.
  • Proven experience delivering projects from concept to completion.
  • Strong understanding of construction programming and project management principles, and construction codes / building standards.
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore or equivalent).
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
  • A team-oriented mindset with leadership capabilities.
