Administrative Assistant

permanent role to be worked Monday to Friday during term time plus one week in each school holidays

immediately prior to the commencement of the next term.

Role Requirements

The Administrative Assistant role supports the non-teaching aspects of the college covering a range of focus

areas including data maintenance, office administration and communication tasks including :

  • Maintaining family and student data within the College's school management system.
  • Extracting data queries and reports for internal purposes and external agencies including government
  • reporting.

  • Assisting with the administration of the parent communication platforms and provide support to
  • parents / carers when required.

  • Providing support and training to staff as a 'systems champion' for the school management system and
  • assist with the implementation of new system functions and features.

  • Providing administrative support to other operational areas of the college including Wellbeing, Learning
  • and Teaching, Faith Formation and Mission, Extra Curriculum and Property.

  • Preparing, editing and / or proofreading College correspondence and communication materials.
  • Supporting the effective operation of reception, as required.
  • Essential Criteria

    A broad range of administration skills, including but not limited to :

  • Proven administrative experience, with data maintenance experience an advantage.
  • Organisational, planning and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced
  • environment, dealing with multiple and urgent priorities and meeting timelines.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with data management
  • software would be advantageous.

  • High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data entry, reporting and administrative tasks.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills, including the ability to draft and proof content with a high
  • level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team, supporting multiple departments and
  • assisting with cross-functional tasks.

  • The ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders to establish and maintain strong and productive
  • working relationships.

    Other

  • Permanent full-time role. The position is Monday to Friday during term time plus one week to be worked
  • in each school holidays immediately prior to the commencement of the next term.

  • Salary and conditions will be as per the NSW Catholic Independent Schools (Support Staff - Model B)
  • Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2023. The position will be paid at Level 3a circa $76,395 per annum (pro-rata

    for the days worked per annum) plus superannuation.
