  • Full time or Part time fixed term contract (minimum 3 days per week) until end of June 2026, located in Parramatta and Penrith
  • Opportunity to provide specialised psychological treatment to individuals aged 18 and above who are impacted by gambling harm, including their significant others
  • Base Salary HEO7 $112,628- $122,702 p.a. (pro-rata) + 17% superannuation
  • About the opportunity

    The School of Psychology is welcoming applications for a Psychologist to be part of the GambleAware team. The role will involve collaborating with and supporting other team members including community engagement workers, financial counsellors, peer support workers and researchers.

    Reporting to the Clinic Manager and Lead Clinical Psychologist, this role offers scope for creativity and initiative. You’ll develop community engagement strategies and create clinical resources that support clinicians across GambleAware and the wider gambling support sector.

    Your key responsibilities will be to :

    • conduct psychological assessments and treatment for clients of GambleAware
    • participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary team meetings to optimise client care
    • participate in community engagement events to build links with key community stakeholders and to raise awareness of gambling harm in the community
    • maintain accurate and current client records and client data in accordance with guidelines and enter data into relevant Client Management databases
    • contribute to data entry, data checking, analysis and report writing as required
    • contribute to the achievement of clinic and team outcomes, by participating in projects, activities or tasks as specified by the Clinic Manager.

    • demonstrable understanding and experience in complying with Good Clinical Practice, regulatory, ethical, privacy, and other relevant guidelines
    • experience in the provision of CBT
    • a full and current registration in Australia as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia
    • endorsement as a clinical psychologist - Desirable
    • experience working with first nations clients and CALD communities and ability to conduct therapy in a language other than English – Desirable.
    • Sponsorship / work rights for Australia

      You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to apply. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.
