Our client is a leading Government and Defence service provider within Australia and has been involved in working with Defence for over 10 years, developing a core competency in systems engineering, systems and enterprise architecture, project management and training solutions.
The role
A leading Government and Defence service provider are currently seeking Snr, Mid & Junior Systems Engineer to assist with the through-life support of several Royal Australian Navy capabilities and enablers. The role involves being part of a multi-disciplined engineering team and collaborating with various stakeholders across Navy projects.
The Systems Engineering section will perform a governance and assurance role, including acting as the Commonwealth Design Acceptance Representative (DAR) for engineering change. The incumbent will be responsible for progressing Request for Problem Resolution (RPRs) and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) in accordance with the client’s priorities.
The key areas of responsibility include requirements engineering, design, acquisition documentation, validation and verification, system safety, maintenance planning, codification, logistics support analysis, sparing analysis, and technical investigations.
Required Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge
To be successful in this role you will possess the following:
- Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical / Electrical or a related discipline
- Maritime Domain experience within Defence Industry
- Highly developed organisational and analytical skills
- Demonstrated abilities to develop positive working relationships through high level communications skills
- Knowledge of Design, Technical Investigation and Test
- Demonstrated abilities to develop positive working relationships through high level communications skills
- Experience in marine design or maintenance (desirable)
- Awareness of systems engineering (desirable)
- Ideally hold a minimum baseline clearance
