About the role

The Maintenance Asset Controller is responsible for the on-going maintenance, repair, modification and testing of aviation Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and Support and Test Equipment (S&TE) within the scope of the Airbus maintenance organisation.

Reporting to the Team Lead Warehouse & Material Management and with guidance and support from S&TE – GSE Technical Lead, you will be responsible to :

  • Plan and implement GSE and S&TE maintenance and calibration schedule to ensure equipment is available to support the aircraft maintenance schedule
  • Maintain and update Airbus GSE and ST&E records and provide status reports to maintenance management team and DASR Responsible Manager as required
  • Perform periodic stocktake of GSE and S&TE
  • Perform and / or coordinate scheduled maintenance of Airbus GSE and S&TE including procurement and disposal as required to support these activities
  • Maintain an effective vendor relationship to ensure timely and effective provision of maintenance and calibration services
  • Coordinate on-site vendor access to support C-J maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate waste management

About you

To be successful in this role, you will be someone who is able to work well in a team environment, have well developed relationship building skills as well as good verbal and written skills. You will need to be someone who is able to work to deadlines and work comfortably in a continuous improvement work environment.

The skills and experience best suited to this role include :

  • Class ‘C' Open Drivers Licence
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Tools including Microsoft Access and spreadsheets with the ability to write technical reports
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical compliance requirements in the aviation maintenance environment
  • Have (or be able to develop) an understanding of the interdependencies between maintenance, support engineering, and supply chain in a logistics environment
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to GSE and S&TE to maintain agreed serviceability rates
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality and customer satisfaction
