The School of Science, Technology, and Engineering (SSTE) is a leader in addressing global challenges through STEM education, equipping students with the skills to develop innovative, sustainable solutions. Our Engineering Discipline is a growing hub of research and teaching excellence, with strengths in sustainable building, renewable energy, advanced manufacturing, and more. Collaborating with the ARM-Hub and industry partners like Veolia and SMEC, we bridge academic and practical expertise. UniSC ranks above the national average for student experience, with 86% of our engineering graduates securing full-time employment (QILT Survey 2021). We are expanding programs, including new offerings at our Moreton Bay Campus, and exploring postgraduate qualifications to meet future needs.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Lecturer (Level B) in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to join the Technology Discipline within the School of Science, Technology and Engineering. In this role, you will deliver high-quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programs in areas such as database systems, systems design, programming, cloud computing or related fields. You will use contemporary, student‑centred approaches to create engaging learning experiences, while developing your research profile through publications, collaborations, industry engagement, and supervision of Honours and HDR students.
As part of a dynamic and collaborative team, you will complement the Technology Discipline’s strengths in software engineering and application development, database systems and data management, networks and emerging cloud platforms, cyber security and digital forensics, and artificial intelligence and smart systems. This is an exciting opportunity for an early‑career academic who is passionate about inspiring students, advancing impactful research, and contributing to digital transformation initiatives across the region.
