What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a motivated, remote-based SRE / DevOps Engineer located in Australia to help run, improve, and scale our global AWS production infrastructure, including overseeing production deployments worldwide.

  • Design, implement, and maintain production systems; establish effective monitoring, alerting, trending, and dashboarding practices.
  • Act as the first responder to alerts, drive impactful projects, and ensure infrastructure remains cost‑efficient and high‑performant.
  • Collaborate with Product Developers, Product Owners, and Customer Success teams across North America, EMEA, and APJ.

YOUR DAY TO DAY

  • Partner with Customer Success to troubleshoot and resolve issues for regional customers.
  • Enhance and optimize production infrastructure performance and scalability.
  • Define critical business metrics and establish real‑time monitoring, alerts, trends, and dashboards.
  • Identify and execute solutions for high ROI problems for performance and cost savings / margin improvement.
  • Analyze technical debt issues and help leadership prioritize high‑value fixes.
  • Participate in on‑call rotations and contribute to incident resolution and post‑mortem analysis.
  • What You Bring To Tealium

  • Minimum 2+ years as Site Reliability Engineer with strong focus on AWS cloud technologies.
  • Experience with AWS services : EC2, S3, EKS / Kubernetes, MSK / Kafka, DynamoDB, VPC, etc.
  • Proficiency scripting / CI / CD and IaC tools (Python, Jenkins, Git, Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Modern observability, logging, monitoring, alerting, trending, and dashboarding tools (DataDog, SumoLogic, CloudWatch, Prometheus).
  • Strong time management, organizational, oral and verbal skills.
  • Clear communication of technical challenges and solutions to all levels.
  • Collaboration with US and EMEA counterparts on incidents, changes, and troubleshooting.
  • Ownership and independent work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Lifelong learner with sharp detail orientation.
  • WAGE TRANSPARENCY

    Base salary range : $115,000–$130,000 AUD annually. The final offer is determined by job‑related skills, experience, and qualifications. The role may also be eligible for performance‑based bonus and equity options.
