About the Role

TasWater CDO have a requirement for a Health & Safety Advisor to join our team.

TasWater

TasWater Capital Delivery Office (CDO) is an Alliance between TasWater, UGL, CPB and WSP Australia.

The TasWater CDO will deliver :

  • Major water infrastructure projects across Tasmania as part of the TasWater $1.1 billion capital works program.
  • Timely, cost effective, and quality capital works solutions for all stakeholders.
  • Improved safety outcomes.
  • Capacity and capability to transition the program back to TasWater post completion.
  • The necessary framework for emergent projects.

What will your day look like in this role :

  • Monitor and interpret relevant HSE legislation, policies and regulations in order to provide direction and advice to projects which meet statutory and corporate objectives and responsibilities.
  • Where required, assess safety in design requirements and provide input for constructability reviews.
  • Facilitate risk workshops in order to effectively plan work in accordance with the project schedule.
  • Ensure that UGL’s HSE objectives and goals are set and attained at the project level including tracking KPIs for the Business.
  • Support the HSE Manager to execute the Project Audit program; including maintaining good documentation records for easy of execution regarding third party audits and maintaining client prequalification status.

    • What are we looking for you to bring to the team :

  • Diploma level or Tertiary Qualifications (Desirable), or Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety + trade background.
  • Certificate IV in Training.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a HSE Advisor in a high-risk industry (Project Construction Desirable).
  • Experience working in the capacity of Principal Contractor (Desirable).
  • ICAM Incident Investigation trained and experience in leading investigations and thorough report writing skills that are well received by Regulators, senior management and client representatives.
  • Working knowledge of ISO450001 or AS 4801.
  • Strong communication skills.
