The Role
Are you detail‑oriented and passionate about ensuring accuracy in financial transactions? We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Accounts Payable Officer to manage high volumes of invoices across all CBH entities, ensuring timely and precise payments to suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships, handling internal and external account queries
- Execute treasury deal confirmations, resolve exceptions, and ensure timely payments and counterparty invoice settlements
- Process high volumes of SAP invoices daily, matching purchase orders to invoices for goods / services, ensuring timely payments
- Process invoices relating to grain sales contracts, including shipping and related charges in our CTRM System
- Conduct monthly vendor reconciliations, validating data and addressing discrepancies
- Perform month‑end tasks to ensure an on‑time close of the ledger and assist in month‑end KPI reporting
- Assist in the preparation and execution of bank and vendor payments and processing
- Manage multiple inboxes to ensure all tasks and queries are completed in a timely manner
Qualifications
Previous demonstrated accounts payable and banking experienceProficient in using various accounts payable systems (including SAP and OpenText) and managing interfaces between financial systemsDemonstrated understanding of cash and vendor management and best payment practicesAdvanced Microsoft Office skills, with a focus on Microsoft ExcelExcellent analytical and investigative abilities, with the capability to track invoices and payments for vendor account reconciliationHighly Desirable
Bachelor’s degree / TAFE certificate in Business / Commerce with a focus on accounting and finance or similar qualificationsAccounts payable experience within the grain industry or commodity trading sectorBenefits
