      About the OPPORTUNITY

    • We have a great opportunity for a Technical Officer to join our team based onsite at Edinburgh Parks, SA, reporting to the Supply Support Manager.
    • The Technical Officer will work as a member of the Supply Support Team, principally through the testing and repair of aeronautical equipment used by the Royal Australian Airforce.

      This role will require full time onsite working at Edinburgh Parks, SA, due to the nature of the role and security requirements.

      This role will see you undertake routine activities. For example :

    • perform testing of aircraft deliverables using stand-alone and automated test equipment;
    • assist in laboratory organisational activities in order to keep the lab in an organised manner and suggest laboratory improvements where necessary; and,
    • Raise failure reports (DRILs) on unserviceable repair items as required;
    • Perform automated test equipment calibration and test equipment swap out, which involves the swapping out of test equipment under the guidance of the Maintenance Coordinator and then performing self-test and calibration procedures using the automated test equipment itself; and,
    • Perform repairs of aircraft deliverables IAW repair documentation and approved procedures
    • We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and flexibility on start / finish times.

      About YOU

    • Certificate III in Electronics or associate diploma or relevant equivalent experience would be highly desirable
    • Demonstrated experience working in a laboratory environment
    • Experience undertaking testing, repair and maintenance on electronic equipment
    • Demonstrated experience using required tools and equipment for testing and repairs
    • Knowledge and or experience in aircraft / aeronautical equipment
    • A current NV1 Clearance or eligibility to obtain
    • Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) regulations
