Join the Dynamic Team at Sparta Gymnastics!We are currently seeking a skilled Sports Development Officer / Recreational Gymnastics coach with experience and a minimum of a Fundamental / Intermediate coaching accreditation (or equivalent from overseas) for our recreational gymnastics, ninja program, and acrobatics classes as well as admin for developing our programs and club managing hours.
- Responsibilities
Highly relevant tasks include, but are not limited to :
- Provides administrative and organisational support to club
- Advises coaches, conducts coaching clinics and training camps, and gives out information and materials from sporting bodies
- Develops training / testing exercises to improve skills
- May act as coach of individuals or teams in representative competitions
- May act as a talent scout for competitive programs with parent sporting bodies
- May schedule competitions and arrange and allocate venues
- May be responsible for the maintenance of gym
- Manages the finances of approved programs and projects including the administration of grant programs
- Gathers information to increase the understanding of community sport and recreational issues
- Develops and coordinates the delivery of sport and recreation programs, services and initiatives to address equity, social justice and community issues
- Promotes sports and skills development, and oversees the participation of young people in sport

- Requirements
- Minimum Fundamental / Intermediate coaching accreditation.
- Working with Children check.
- Proven experience coaching recreational gymnastics, ninja programs, or acrobatics.
- Passion for working with children and fostering their development in a gymnastics setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in administrative work
- Essential Requirements
- Fundamental / Intermediate Gymnastics Coach Accreditation.
- Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check.
- Desirable Criteria
- First Aid Certificate.
- Current Provide / Perform CPR.
- Physical Education Degree or coaching experience in dance, gymnastics, cheerleading etc.

- National Police / Criminal History Check

Pay : $76,515.00 per year
