Headquartered in Broome, Western Australia, BRAMS provides holistic, culturally safe primary healthcare, aged care, and community programs to Aboriginal people throughout the Kimberley region.

BRAMS is seeking a full-time Quality, Risk & Governance Coordinator, based in Broome, WA, to lead organisation-wide quality, risk, governance, and accreditation systems in partnership with the CEO, Executive, and Senior Leaders. This role plays a key part in embedding BRAMS’ Quality Care Framework, which reflects their commitment to safe, person-centred, culturally responsive care.

More specifically, your responsibilities include :

  • Coordinating internal audits, quality systems (LOGIQC), document control and improvement registers
  • Leading preparation for accreditation across RACGP, NSQHS, Aged Care, NDIS, ISO9001 and similar standards
  • Managing and reporting on the organisational Risk Register and compliance obligations
  • Supporting Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives organisation-wide
  • Engaging with consumers and analysing feedback to guide service improvements
  • Developing organisation-wide dashboards using integrated performance data
  • Educating and mentoring staff on compliance, audit readiness, and governance frameworks
  • Advising the CEO and Executive on quality risks, trends, and performance insights
  • Internally known as the Quality and Safety Officer , this senior role offers a unique opportunity to shape care delivery standards through clinical governance, continuous improvement, and compliance with a clear focus on health and aged care services, not occupational or workplace safety.

    Is This You?

    We’re looking for someone with hands-on experience in quality, governance, accreditation, or compliance, ideally in health, aged care, disability, or community services. You may not hold a formal qualification, and that’s okay - we value practical expertise.

    You’ll ideally bring :

  • Experience with at least one accreditation framework (e.g. NSQHS, RACGP, NDIS, Aged Care Standards, ISO9001)
  • Familiarity with quality assurance systems and continuous improvement methods
  • The ability to interpret data, incidents, and feedback to drive change
  • A collaborative, systems-thinking approach to embedding governance practices
  • Confidence in supporting executive decision-making through quality reporting
  • Desirable (but not essential) :

  • Qualifications in quality management, governance, or health administration
  • Experience working with Aboriginal health organisations or culturally responsive frameworks
  • As our ideal candidate, you’re independent, detail-focused and capable of working across teams. You have strong communication skills , and you’re passionate about quality care, risk mitigation, and improving outcomes in community-driven health settings.
