Food Service Assistants - Hotel Services

About the Role

Food Service Assistants are an integral part of the Hotel Services team at Tallangatta Health Service, providing nourishing meal, snack and beverage options to consumers in our Residential Aged Care and Acute settings.

As a Food Service Assistant, you will assist with the preparation, delivery and serving of meals according to individual dietary requirements and preferences. You will also contribute to maintaining a healthy and hygienic workplace by assisting with cleaning tasks such as doing the dishes, wiping benches and equipment and mopping floors.

Casual vacancies are now available. Shifts are spread across a seven-day roster from Monday to Sunday, between the hours of 7 : 00 am and 8 : 00 pm.

About you

You are motivated and want to make a difference in the lives of our consumers, and to support them to live life to their potential, you will also have the following :

• Current Food Safety / Handlers Certificate, or willingness to obtain.
• A positive, "can-do" attitude with excellent work ethic
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to be flexible, demonstrate initiative and work effectively in a team environment
• Adaptable to change and have a commitment to continuous quality improvement

All appointments are made subject to the required security screening including National Criminal History, NDIS Worker Screening checks and an immunisation status appropriate to the role.
