HOBAN Recruitment is recruiting for the role of Facilities Manager , located at a state-of-the-art campus in Woden ACT . This role is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced facilities professional to lead a small team in delivering high-quality building services and emergency management in a modern, technology-enabled environment.
About the Role :
- Manage day-to-day building operations at a major education campus
- Lead a team of 2-4 staff and coordinate onsite services and contractors
- Oversee building repairs, maintenance, and capital works
- Act as Chief Fire Warden and manage emergency protocols and WHS
- Perform inspections, reporting, and contract management
- Ensure integration with sustainability, cleaning, security, and smart tech systems
- Contribute to campus safety and strategic facilities improvements
- Participate in on-call roster and emergency response outside of standard hours

Industry-recognised qualification in Facilities Management or equivalent experienceExperience managing building operations and smart building systemsProven ability to lead and support a small teamStrong communication, negotiation, and organisational skillsAbility to manage competing priorities independentlyACT Driver's Licence and willingness to obtain relevant certifications (WHS, First Aid, Fire Warden)Confident in emergency management and stakeholder engagementCommitted to public service values and inclusive workplace practicesWilling to obtain a WWVP card.Please note you do need to have Full Work Rights for AUSTRALIA for this Government role
