Salary – Clerk Grade 1 / 2 , $ 75,728 to $ 82,329

About Us

The Housing Appeals Committee (HAC) provides an independent appeals mechanism for social housing clients in NSW. The HAC Secretariat is a business unit of Homes NSW and provides administrative and customer support services to enable the delivery of timely and responsive independent appeal services.

Your role

The Administrative Assistant supports a client-focused team delivering appeals services to social housing residents, collaborating with clients, staff, and providers to ensure a culturally responsive service.

With a high level of attention to details and strong administrative and customer service skills, you’re confident using computer-based technology and managing tasks like records maintenance, meeting coordination, minute taking and financial processes.

What you’ll do

This position involves multi-tasking and managing a range of enquiries. Example responsibilities include :

  • Providing administrative services such as filing, handling mail, maintaining registers, routine purchasing, supporting meetings and events, photocopying, and preparing documents to facilitate team or unit operations
  • Gathering and organizing information for documentation and report preparation
  • Responding to enquiries and requests for information, referring enquiries when necessary, to ensure accurate information is provided
  • Updating records and databases in accordance with records management procedures to maintain accurate, properly stored and accessible information

  • You’re a highly motivated team player, working collaboratively and independently as required, but always with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
