The purpose of this job is…

Responsible to deliver world class service and drive sales and profit outcomes through interpretation of optical prescriptions, fit and service optical appliances such as spectacle frames and lenses. In addition, the role contributes to meeting sales targets and driving promotions and special campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Deliver world class service and drive sales and profit outcomes through interpretation of optical prescriptions, fitting and servicing optical appliances such as spectacle frames and lenses.
• Meet sales targets and contribute to driving promotions and special campaigns.
• Provide recommendations and guidance to customers on frame selections, lens options available and assist in frame adjustment and repairs as required.
• Support Store Manager and State Manager with other activities as required.
• Monitor the progress of customer’s job requests and notify the customer if there is any delay.
• Assist customers with HICAPS claims in accordance with Bupa guidelines and procedures and update and maintain customer records accordingly.
• Participate in store operations to ensure smooth store performance (stock-take, merchandise, store presentation and cleanliness) as requested by the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• Ideally experience working as a retail assistant or as an optical dispenser.
• Certificate III or IV in Optical Dispensing is desirable.
• Provide recommendations and guidance to customers on frame selections and lens options and assist in frame adjustment and repairs as required.
• Ability to support store operations and contribute to customer service excellence.
