Bankstown Hospital is seeking driven, dedicated and passionate Registered Nurses to join our team and provide assistance in our Emergency Department.

As a nurse in our Emergency Department you will exposed to a complex variety of patients, illnesses and injuries which provides a stimulating and high energy environment. You will have the opportunity to be a part of the patient journey from the initial workup stage and gain valuable experience in diagnosis. This high energy environment means no two minutes are the same, it is a highly active role and you will be continually challenged to improve your own skills and the patient care provided.

Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital is located in the city of Bankstown and is in one of the most multicultural local government areas (LGA) in Australia. This hospital has tertiary affiliations with three universities and offers a range of roles and experiences to employees.

The hospital receives highly diverse presentations in ED as well as having general medical and surgical services and sub-specialty services across the hospital. • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Demonstrated recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an environment appropriate to the relevant speciality.
• Demonstrated ability to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs.
• Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise.
• Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of evidenced based nursing care.
• Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace.
