Graduate Surveyor About the Opportunity Maitland City Council's Pathways program is a fantastic way to kick-start your career in surveying and gain valuable hands-on experience in local government across a wide range of functions. Commencing in January 2026, for a period of two years , we have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Surveyor to join Maitland City Council. As a Graduate Surveyor, you will support the delivery of surveying services for the capital works program, property development and planning teams to assist with infrastructure projects, land management, and spatial data collection. In this role, you will be mentored and supported to become a candidate surveyor. You will gain practical experience towards your professional registration and develop your technical skills with hands on learning that focuses on both field and office aspects of the role of a surveyor. You will build a well-rounded and rewarding career in the surveying industry, whilst directly contributing to the growth and improvement of our local community.

Benefits
This is a full time, temporary role working a 35-hour week, with a salary commencing from $70,728.84 per year + 12% super. Graduates will also have access to Council's great staff benefits such as flexible working arrangements & fitness passport. Council will contribute to BOSSI's annual candidate fee for the successful applicant. Maitland City Council holds memberships with the Consulting Surveyors Australia and the Institute of Surveyors NSW, and with this, the successful candidate will have opportunities to attend candidate workshops and industry information sessions to support their pathway to registration as a registered land surveyor.
