Role Overview :

To learn and conduct industry’s best practice repair and overhaul practices on DOWTY propeller systems to support GE Aviation’s customers. This will be accomplished by personally conducting maintenance tasks whilst undergoing on and off the job apprenticeship training to attain Certificate IV Aeroskills (Mechanical Workshop).

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS :

This role is part of the DOWTY Team which is comprised of 10‑15 Technicians and a team supervisor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (RESPONSIBILITIES) :

• Learn to perform inspections, repairs and overhaul of DOWTY propeller systems.
• Develop a knowledge of technical instructions and assistance to be provided to customers within the parameters of formal technical documents.
• Undertake ‘On the Job Training’ to learn about technical publications and propeller repairs.
• Develop knowledge of applicable product line and aftermarket contractual obligations.
• Learn how to perform administrative functions; such as writing technical reports, ordering materials, supporting quotations and capturing sales and cost avoidance opportunities.
• Maintain strong environmental, health and safety requirements aligned to GE requirements

Utilize provided tools to track and maintain customer queries to closure.
