  • About the role
  • This position liaises, influences and works with all employees at all levels within the Care Division and with the communities that provide resident care services. You will also works closely with Care Governance, Community Operations and People & Culture.

    This role both delivers and brokers education, training and coaching activity for all care and community employees at sites in which resident care services are provided. This role is to ensure effective education and coaching that fosters a healthy and safe workplace. The role also has training administration responsibilities to ensure all employee learning records are accurate and up to date on the Aveo Learning Management system and all assessment documentation is sent for recording on employee files

    • Contribute to the creation of the Care organisational Training Plan; identifying needs / gaps, especially in relation to Aged Care Quality Standards, and any other relevant legislative requirements for our industry
    • Deliver education and training activities in accordance with the training calendar and as needed or directed
    • Liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure the efficient delivery of internally and externally hosted sessions
    • Contribute to ensuring all Care employees receive an on-boarding induction
    • Contribute to the on-going development (and continuous improvement) of education material and resources
    • Complete competency assessments as required.
    • Participate in care services audits including but not limited to annual mandatory competencies
    • Partner with Regional Care Managers and Care Managers for targeted development and coaching as required
    • Interstate travel is periodically required
    • About you
    • Registered Nurse with AHPRA with no conditions or restrictions
    • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent)
    • Knowledge and experience in a similar role in the community and / or home care sector
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to support the community and / or home care community to meet responsibilities as they relate to Care Education and IPC
    • Excellent time management, planning and organisation skills
    • High attention to detail
