Your Opportunity

As the Head of Special Education Services, you will :

  • Promote an inclusive culture and practices within the school community to ensure equity and excellence for students with disability.
  • Develop and support a high quality of teaching and adjustments for students with disability in accordance to related legislation and policies.

The Head of Special Education reports to the Principal.

Your Responsibilities

As the Head of Special Education Services, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :

  • Provide evidence-based advice and guidance to the school leadership team, classroom teachers, and other stakeholders to develop, plan, and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with additional needs.
  • Analyse student achievement data to inform and provide targeted intervention and case management for students requiring substantial or extensive support.
  • Establish and maintain school-wide systems to monitor student progress and oversee the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD).
  • Work closely with school leadership teams, teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure a collaborative and inclusive approach to student success.
