Overview

Apply for the Teacher – Science position with the Department of Education, Western Australia, teaching at Atwell College – a modern, progressive government secondary school serving approximately 840 students. The Role

The successful candidate will :

  • Deliver high‐quality instruction in chemistry, physics, biology, or human biology at an ATAR‑equivalent level.
  • Use a range of pedagogies to create a positive, engaging classroom environment.
  • Employ data and classroom observations to reflect on and improve teaching practice.
  • Motivate and maximise student engagement, fostering an active, positive learning culture.
  • Work closely with students, colleagues and the community to achieve the best educational outcomes.

    Eligibility

  • Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before starting.
  • Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before starting.
