Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee electrical design delivery for rail infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.
- Manage and mentor electrical engineers and designers, fostering technical excellence and driving continuous improvement in design quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, providing expert guidance on electrical systems integration, risk management, and constructability.
- Ensure timely project delivery and cost control, balancing technical requirements with commercial objectives while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with eligibility for membership of Engineers Australia; Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status is highly regarded.Demonstrated competency in rail-specific electrical systems, including 1500V DC traction power, high-voltage distribution, and associated protection / control systems, in accordance with Sydney Trains and TfNSW standards.Comprehensive knowledge of designer’s obligations under Rail Safety National Law and TfNSW engineering assurance processes, including experience working within a Technically Assured Organisation (TAO) framework.Proven ability in design leadership, coordination and integration across multiple rail disciplines on multiple projects simultaneously.Additional Information
