Aircraft Surface Finisher / Aircraft PainterRichmondAs an Aircraft Surface Finisher, you will work as part of our Richmond Maintenance team in providing aerospace painting services of both composite and metallic components in support of the C-130J Hercules.You will be primarily responsible for performing the painting activities while supporting operational units in Industry specific tasks, such as surface finish work on components, advanced structural repair, and aircraft or component repairs or modifications.About you This role is suited to someone who is organised, diligent, willing to learn and is committed to achieving outcomes. You will be a solution focused thinker with the flexibility to be agile in your approach to your work and keen to take on new challenges.The knowledge, skills and experience best suited to this role would include :
- Certificate III in Aircraft Surface Finisher
- Experience in painting composite and metallic aircraft and components
- Experience in aircraft maintenance preferred but equivalent industry painting experience will be considered, component maintenance and / or manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of, and ability to apply, relevant regulations, standards, policies and procedures
- Good hand skills with materials and hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and drawings
