Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state’s emergency services agencies. It provides Victoria’s 24‑hour emergency call‑taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.

About The Role
The Network Engineer is a key and active participant of the Emergency Communications Information Services (ECIS) Department. This role will design, implement, maintain and support our growing network infrastructure.
Reporting to the Manager, Networking, specific accountabilities include configuring and installing various devices (e.g. routers, switches, firewalls), performing network maintenance and system upgrades, monitoring performance, ensuring system availability and reliability and monitoring system resource utilisation, trending and capability planning.
The main purpose of the role is to maintain networks that support core organisational functions and assure their high availability across a complex distributed network. The ability to prioritise mission‑critical tasks and coordinate the maintenance of TZV’s networks so upgrades and other tasks do not affect daily operations.
As part of the ECIS team you may be required to travel or transfer between your primary work location and other TZV sites to effectively carry out your duties. Normal working hours are 38 hours per week between 7 am and 7 pm, Monday to Friday. You are required to participate in an on‑call roster and may be required to work reasonable overtime.
