What’s on offer?

An exciting opportunity has presented for a Project Engineer to join our Infrastructure Services team based in Adelaide. Reporting to the Senior Business Development Manager - Airports & Defence, you will be working to support the department in expanding our work portfolio and project opportunities throughout Australia.

We are seeking a self-motivated professional with prior experience gained within the airports sector who may be looking to put their skills to use in the pre-contract space, working closely within our business development and estimating teams.

As a Project Engineer - Estimating, you will be responsible for :

  • Assisting the tendering team with writing methodologies, programs / schedules, quantity take offs etc.
  • Assisting the Airports team in understanding the scope of works
  • Presenting information to tender review team
  • Assisting in obtaining pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
  • Supporting the Senior Estimator and Pre-Contracts manager
  • In addition, we are looking for someone who has a strong desire to learn and work as a part of a team to achieve successful business outcomes.

    How will you connect to the role :

  • Ideally, you will have experience in pavement construction and maintenance, runway and / or road surfacing (spray seal and asphalt).
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge of AfPA and or AAA specifications or willingness to learn them.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Working knowledge of Expert Estimation Genesis or similar and the ability to learn the program.
  • A relevant Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, although not essential.
  • You will possess a valid Driver's Licence,
  • Some interstate travel will be required for short durations to attend site briefings etc..
