Your Opportunity

This role is primarily responsible for the creation of solution architectures and the implementations based on business demand. It is responsible for developing technology solutions which meet TPG Telecom’s business requirements (whether functional, cost-based, or time-based) and driving the network implementations for IP Core and VPN networks. The position requires an in-depth knowledge of technologies and hands-on skills across Cisco / Juniper systems for Telco IP Core and VPN networks. The candidate needs to have proven ability to work autonomously within broad guidelines and knowledge of project management and an understanding of the financial implications of their solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Architecting end-to-end technical solutions for complex Telco IP Core and VPN infrastructure that meet current and future business needs.
  • Ensuring that developed or modified components align with the business and solution architecture and meet solution performance objectives.
  • Leading network implementation projects from start to end, ensuring successful and timely delivery including full infrastructure refreshes.
  • Developing high-level and detailed network diagrams, standards, and documentation.
  • Collaborating with other teams to ensure network alignment with security and operational requirements.
  • Providing operational support (as required) for complex fault investigations.
  • Evaluating new networking technologies, tools and platforms.

What You’ll Bring

  • Degree in Engineering or IT related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in network design and architecture role
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper networking technologies
  • Advanced expertise in IP Core and VPN network design and implementation
  • Exceptional project management skills with technical solution delivery
  • Proven ability to work autonomously within broad guidelines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others
  • Strong communication skills with a professional and presentable attitude
  • Excellent documentation skills
