About the role

We have an opportunity for Electrical / Fitter Mechanic to join our Electrical Integrity team. Reporting directly to the Supervisor – Primary Distribution, you will contribute to our Safe, Stable and Sustainable vision by :

  • Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with site health, environmental and community policies, systems and procedures
  • Completing planned and breakdown maintenance of a wide range of Electrical and Instrumentation equipment (including high voltage repairs)
  • Diagnosing and recommending repair methods
  • Completing Hazardous Area and Gas System installation and maintenance work
  • Continuously improving plant stability by identification and elimination of equipment failures and contributing to site safety culture

    • About You

    To be successfully considered for this role, you should have :

  • Demonstrated ability to safely work as an individual and within a team environment
  • Current Queensland Electrical Licence is essential
  • Demonstrated diagnostic fault finding and problem-solving skills
  • Industrial High Voltage qualifications and experience is essential
  • Exposure to Bailey DCS systems, hazardous area work is desirable
  • Previous work with VSD’s, DCS logic, electronic relays and fault finding on complex circuits is highly regarded
  • Experience with cathodic protection system repair and maintenance will be beneficial.
  • Exposure to gas systems and PLC controlled systems would be advantageous
  • A positive and motivated attitude
