About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Baker to join our busy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and baking a wide range of bread products, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to Baker’s Delight standards.
Prepare and bake bread, rolls, buns, specialty loaves, and other baked products from scratch.
Measure, mix, knead, shape and proof dough in accordance with recipes and production requirements.
Operate baking equipment safely, including mixers, ovens, and slicers.
Monitor baking processes to maintain product standards, quality, and freshness.
Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organised work environment, complying with all food safety and WHS requirements.
Manage baking schedules to ensure product availability throughout the day.
Assist in stock rotation, ingredient management, and minimising waste.
Collaborate effectively with team members to meet production targets.
Uphold Baker’s Delight brand standards and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
Requirements
Skills & Experience
Previous experience as a Baker (preferably in a commercial bakery environment).
Knowledge of dough preparation, proofing, and baking techniques.
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
Good physical stamina and the ability to perform manual, hands-on tasks.
Positive attitude, reliability, and strong teamwork skills.
Qualifications (desirable)
Certificate III in Baking or equivalent trade qualifications (or relevant industry experience).
Experience working within a franchise or high-volume bakery.
