As a vital member of our team, you will provide essential structural engineering support for our aircraft stationed at Horn Island. Your responsibilities will encompass sheet metal work, handling composites, implementing corrosion prevention measures, and making modifications to preserve both the interior and exterior of our aircraft. You will also play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet and keeping aircraft in top‑condition to support their missions effectively. While your primary base may be at Horn Island, you should be prepared for temporary travel assignments to other Babcock bases.

Key responsibilities :

• Corrosion prevention and aircraft preservation
• Assist licensed aircraft maintenance engineers
• Provide structural support for the Horn Island fleet (sheet metal, composites, corrosion prevention, modifications, interior / exterior preservation)
• Prepare and keep safe working areas, adhering to safety procedures and regulations
• Hangar equipment maintenance and presentation
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and external stakeholders
