    About the role

    We are thrilled to offer multiple exciting opportunities for Mechanical Engineers at various levels to join our dynamic team in Brisbane. Whether you’re a Junior, Mid-Level, or Senior Engineer, we have a role for you!

    • Build stable working relationships with multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams – Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality, Electrical, Electronic, and Software / Firmware Engineers, Industrial Designers, and Supply Chain and Production personnel.
    • Follow standard Tritium Product Development practices and procedures.
    • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE).
    • Develop sound understanding of low and high-volume manufacturing methods i.e., sheet metal fabrication, press / stamp metal, CNC milling / turning, 3D printing, injection moulding, die-casting etc.
    • Develop sound understanding of “Lean Six Sigma” framework and “V-Model” development cycle.
    • Develop sound understanding of the high-volume assembly line manufacturing process.
    • Conduct research and literature reviews of topics / technologies specific to sub-system and / or components.
    • Interpret system, sub-system, and component requirements and appropriate standards.
    • Support the Mechanical Product Dev. Team with the development of concepts for sub-systems and / or components.
    • Perform hand / 1D calculations and use Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) i.e., FEA, CFD.
    • Support the Mechanical Product Dev. Team with detailed design and supporting documentation i.e., drawings, and / or Bill of Materials (BOM), for sub-systems and / or components.
    • Support the Mechanical Product Dev. Team with the development of Cost of Goods Sold (CoGS).
    • Support the Mechanical Product Dev. Team with drafting of test plans for validation testing of sub-system and / or components.
    • Support the Mechanical Product Dev. Team and / or Engineering Technical Services (ETS) Team with conducting validation testing of sub-system and / or components.
    • Support the Mechanical Product Dev. Team with New Product Integration (NPI) tasks.
    • Proactively ask questions and reach out for help when “stuck”.
    • About you

    • Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
    • Hands-on and practical approach (demonstrated experience with prototype building preferable i.e., Formula SAE).
    • Enthusiastic and highly motivated to further develop technical and professional skills.
    • Willingness to contribute to a multi-disciplinary, cross-functional team.
    • Sound critical thinking skills.
    • Ability to articulate work status effectively to team members and line manager.
    • Willing to accept feedback graciously and learn from experience(s).
    • Experience with 3D parametric modeling software (proficiency in SolidWorks is desirable).
    • Familiarity (experience desirable) with PLM software (preferably Windchill).
    • Familiarity (experience desirable) with low and / or high-volume manufacturing methods i.e., sheet metal fabrication, press / stamp metal, CNC milling / turning, 3D printing, injection moulding, die-casting etc.
    • Familiarity with “Lean Six Sigma” framework and “V-Model” development cycle.
    • Familiarity with high-volume assembly line manufacturing i.e., Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing / Assembly, End-Of-Line Testing etc.
    • Familiarity with AS / NZS, ANSI, ASME, and / or ISO drawing standards.
    • Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
    • Familiarity with industry standards for electric vehicle charging systems, such as IEC 61851 and UL 2202 is desirable.
