The Field Systems Representative / Network Engineer position is a full‑time role within CACI’s Command, Control, Computing, and Intelligence (C3I) line of business. The opportunity is for a Navy Air (NAVAIR) Solutions Group engineer to deploy and maintain Australian Commonwealth Triton Mission Control Systems. The engineer will be temporarily based in Jacksonville, Florida for approximately six months for training and then shift to Tindal, Australia. Periodic travel within Australia will be required to provide systems support and execute hardware and software upgrades.
Responsibilities
- Support the Remote Quick Look (RQL) ground systems infrastructure, including configuration of ground‑based RQL components.
- Apply system‑level knowledge of operating systems and hardware to diagnose issues and provide solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve faults of the RQL during pre‑flight, flight and post‑flight phases of operation.
- Perform operational level maintenance of RQL equipment.
- Install hardware and software upgrades.
- Provide technical assistance to Technical, Maintenance and Engineering support staff, enabling personnel to interpret technical manuals and drawings, evaluate logistics products and resources, assess operational communication system configurations, and identify maintenance or training deficiencies that may be improved through hands‑on training and informal training.
- Work 38 hours per week, averaged over a four‑week period, with single‑shift coverage and maintenance shift schedules aligned to meet the requirements of the Australian Commonwealth.
- Provide technical leadership to junior engineering personnel across the customer organization associated with RQL systems.
Required Education and Experience
TS / SCI with Polygraph clearance.Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an associate degree in a related field and four years of recent specialized experience, or a high school diploma and eight years of recent specialized experience.Current US Department of Defense 8570 Approved IAT II or higher baseline certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent / higher) obtainable within 90 days of start.Desired Skills and Qualifications
Experience and knowledge in Navy Distributed SIGINT Operations (DSO).Experience installing, integrating, and configuring DSO systems and operational networks.Experience troubleshooting DSO operational systems and networks.Strong knowledge of routing protocol configurations, OSI 7‑layer model, IPv4 and IPv6, DNS, DHCP.Experience working on classified transport networks.Experience troubleshooting network connectivity issues.Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or CentOS.Knowledge of configuration and troubleshooting for Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) firewalls.Knowledge of NetApp / ONTAP solutions.Knowledge of Python, Java, and SQL.Knowledge of VMware / ESXi.What You Can Expect
