Data Business Analyst – Melbourne

Jetstar is recruiting an experienced, technically minded Data Business Analyst to support our Data, Analytics & Automation team. The role is a 12‑month fixed term opportunity based at our head office in Collingwood, Melbourne. Flexible working : hybrid model with 3 days onsite.

Key responsibilities

• Lead business requirements & discovery for Hub initiatives, facilitate discovery sessions and translate business needs into actionable specifications.
• Document data lineage and interface specifications, mapping data movement through the organization with data lineage maps, system interface specifications, and process flows.
• Manage intake for Hub initiatives, assess requests for scope and complexity, and ensure backlog items meet Definition of Ready before sprint planning.
• Create and maintain documentation standards, templates, and reusable patterns.
• Build a central repository of guidelines and best practices, documentation templates, knowledge repository, and onboarding materials.
• Build relationships across Hub chapters and domain squads; act as a bridge between technical and business stakeholders, facilitating workshops and maintaining alignment.
• Coordinate across teams; facilitate workshops and maintain communication channels.
