Kitchen Hand - Full Time

We are currently seeking an experienced Kitchen Hand / Steward to join our busy team at West HQ.

What does a Kitchen Hand do?

Our Kitchen Hands are responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness and hygiene of all kitchen and related areas in a safe and efficient manner.

Duties could include :

• Washing kitchen equipment and dishes
• Maintaining a constant supply of clean materials
• Ensuring all kitchen areas are clean and hygienically maintained. Including mopping of floors and removing garbage
• Cleaning of wash-up areas
• Ensuring that kitchen cleanliness is of the highest standard
• Complying with safety work procedures (PPE) & WHS regulations
• Ensuring safe manual handling techniques at all times

Who's right for the job?

We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Hand / Steward who is available to work a variety of shifts which include over night shifts, late finishes and early starts. Applicants who have full availability to work will be well regarded. Someone who is able to cope with the duties of the role which will require you to repeatedly lift, bend, crouch, kneel, push, pull, and stand for extended periods of time.
