Learning Manager – Full-time Temporary with a Possibility of Permanency
The Cyber Security TAFE Centre of Excellence (TCoE) Learning Manager will oversee the pilot project delivery across the Centre. Working with a team of educational and industry specialists this role will develop learning resources for training product pilot projects and oversee delivery of training programs within the Centre.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- High level of technical expertise and current knowledge in the cyber security industry.
 - Demonstrated experience with developing innovative student-centred learning approaches, resources and assessment tools, and incorporating new industry practices and innovative learning technologies into training delivery.
 - Demonstrated experience in supporting and guiding staff in delivering contemporary, quality learning experiences to a range of student cohorts, and compliant student record keeping processes.
 - Deep understanding of and proven capability to apply the ASQA 2025 Standards for RTOs, and Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) educational policies and procedures.
 - Proven capacity to work effectively in a collaborative environment with teams and individuals from education and training, industry, community organisations and government to deliver projects within agreed timeframes.
 
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Develop and write curriculum, learning and assessment resources across the educational and learning innovation projects in the Centres of Excellence.Manage the delivery of pilot training delivery including full qualifications, microcredentials, higher apprenticeship and priority cohort training; oversee educational compliance and adherence to CIT policies and procedures.Work with the TCoE Learning Designer, Cyber and ICT Educators to produce industry informed, innovative, quality, future-focused training products, and training and assessment resources.Leverage AI products to develop curriculum and resources, sharing innovations and leading practice across the organisation through TCoE working groups.Oversee the provision of specialist subject matter expertise into training product development and delivery, liaising with CIT educators, university partners and industry experts.Support the Senior Manager, Learning Innovation to design and implement the agreed educational projects, in collaboration with industry, university partners, the Jobs and Skills Councils, unions and community organisations.Eligibility / Other requirements :
Bachelor of Information Technology or equivalentCyber Security industry certificationsQualifications in adult learning including
Training and Assessment Certificate IV level qualification (such as a TAE40116 or equivalent)Diploma of Vocational Education & Training (or equivalent) or higher-level qualificationNotes : This is a temporary position available from 23 November 2025 until 29 December 2028 with the possibility of permanency.
Temporary employment offered as a result of this advertisement may lead to permanency / promotion as per the Public Sector Management Standards, Section 14 – Direct appointment of employee – general, and Section 20 – Direct promotion - general and CIT Enterprise Agreements.
