The Mission Enablement teams deliver expert capability in Misson Systems Joint C4i Training and Simulation. The team is passionate and has welcomed a high proportion of veterans. As a Field Service Technician you will take primary responsibility for the daytoday maintenance and support of customer project systems and radios.

As a Subject Matter Expert assignments will vary but will include the following responsibilities :

  • Managing and maintaining configuration of applicable hardware and software to ensure operational suitability and commonality
  • Responding to Help Desk calls in a responsive and effective manner; engaging and assisting stakeholders
  • Assisting operational team members to implement best approaches when utilising Tactical Data Link Systems
  • Providing input to development of technical documentation including design operations and facilities
  • Managing the technical implementation of approved Engineering Change Proposals including hardware and software installation integration testing and confirmations
  • Ensure operational effectiveness by participating in investigations rectifications and configuration control reporting processes

What we are looking for :

  • Experience working autonomously and applying a high degree of professional judgement management of controlled information demonstrated integrity and critical thinking
  • Minimum 3 years broad professional experience in Information & Communications Technology
  • Minimum 3 years specialised expertise in Tactical Information Exchange
  • Export compliance and a minimum Defence security clearance of NV2
  • Effective communication skills to deliver operational excellence at a level suitable for our stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team exercising initiative and meeting deadlines

  • Desirable experience :

  • Employment of Tactical Data Links in a military environment
  • Ability to develop deliver and assess training outcomes
  • Link11 Link16 Link22
  • Network Operations including Tactical Networks
  • Demonstrated experience with Information Technology Networking Configuration Management and Data Management
