The HSEA Specialist plays a pivotal role in enhancing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) performance across our sites. Collaborating closely with site leadership, Plant Managers, and regional managers, the Specialist ensures compliance with Graymont’s standards and regulatory requirements. This role embodies the stewardship of environmental, health, and safety initiatives and serves as a local custodian for these processes.
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the role supports Graymont’s operations in the Riverton Quarry, with the ideal candidate based 45 minutes away in Tenterfield, New South Wales or other nearby locations. In addition, the specialist oversees site administration activities, aligns with Graymont’s policies, and supports site leadership to ensure safe, compliant, and sustainable operations while supporting local community needs.
Key focus areas the role will include:
Train employees and contractors on HSE practices and site requirements.
Address environmental and community stakeholder concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Provide coaching and guidance to leaders and employees to strengthen HSE performance.
Support continuous improvement of site administrative and HSEA processes.

Experience in industrial, mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry environments.
