An exciting opportunity exists for a Dental Technician Senior. This role will provide high level and complex dental technical services for eligible patients and contribute to the organisation and delivery of dental technical services as a member of the Caloundra Dental Laboratory team.

Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include :

  • Demonstrate high level knowledge and skill relating to standard and complex dental technology services for fabrication, repair and relining of dental prosthesis and appliances, including removeable Acrylic and Cobalt-Chrome dentures, orthodontic support, splints and mouthguards, working under minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills, liaise and work co-operatively and effectively with all SCHHS Oral Health clinical and non-clinical employees, other health professionals to achieve patient centred care.
  • Contribute to the culture of the Laboratory and Oral Health team with open communication and positive feedback and contribute to adoption of change.
  • Support the Caloundra Oral Health team and managers and clinicians by providing technical advice and informed opinion on matters pertaining to complex technical issues, service delivery, equipment, and technology.

Remuneration value up to $132,567 p.a., comprising salary between $79,051 - $116,189 p.a. (f / t), or salary rates : $39.86 - $58.59 p.h. (p / t), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP3) (full time and / or part time positions available, 30.4-76 hrs p.f.).
