Job Description

A Social Visits Volunteer who can make a meaningfuldifference - One visit at a time!

Are you someone who enjoys a gentle walk? How about being awalking buddy for an older person? We’re looking for a kind-hearted volunteerto visit a thoughtful elderly lady who’s feeling a bit lonely and would like tomeet a buddy to visit her for a walk. Your time and company could make a worldof difference. A friendly visit, a shared story, or a chat over a cuppa couldtruly lift her spirits.

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the client you are matched with.

Requirements

18 years or older

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
