The role

We’re looking for a dynamic Credit Analyst to join our team and help us shape the future of small business lending. In this role, you’ll evaluate loan applications using your credit expertise to assess their creditworthiness. You’ll make informed decisions by recommending or approving loans that align with Prospa’s risk appetite and underwriting policy. Additionally, you’ll collaborate exclusively with internal stakeholders to keep things moving.

What you’ll be doing

Decisioning applications within DLA in a timely manner.

Recommending for approval or decline on loans outside of DLA in a timely manner.

Review credit reports, bank statements, tax statements, and other reports to determine degree of risk involved with providing business loans.

Identify and help implement process improvements.

Conduct credit calls directly with applicants where required.

What you’ll need to succeed

Previously held a DLA.

Experience in business lending is advantageous.

Experience with financial statement analysis is not essential but a strong plus.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work directly with various internal and external stakeholders.

Experience in a high‑pressure environment working to deadlines.

Location : Sydney

This position is based in Sydney.
