Project Manager – ICT (SAP Transformation)
Location : Brisbane CBD (Hybrid WFH / Office Model). Contract : Initial long-term contract opportunity. Rate : Highly Competitive Market Rate.
Are you an experienced ICT Project Manager with a strong track record in delivering complex Enterprise Application (ERP) transformations? A major Queensland department is undertaking a critical, large-scale technology program to modernise its core corporate systems. We are seeking a dynamic and highly capable Project Manager to drive key projects within the SAP Re-platforming Program, focusing on critical HR / Payroll, Rostering, and Finance solutions. This high-impact role will directly contribute to operational excellence across one of Queensland's largest service providers.
Role and Key Responsibilities
- Oversee project definition, documentation, and completion in line with rigorous governance and methodologies.
- Expertly apply and tailor project management techniques, including dependency management, risk / issue control, and benefits realisation (PRINCE2 highly preferred).
- Lead, manage, and mentor multi-disciplinary project teams (functional, technical, and external vendors).
- Initiate, influence, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to facilitate effective communication and drive change adoption.
- Lead the development of detailed business cases for new initiatives where required.
- Ensure alignment with Release Management processes for a complex integrated application landscape.
What You'll Need to Succeed
7 to 10 years of proven experience managing complex ICT projects, preferably within a large government or highly regulated environment.Demonstrable expertise in managing projects related to HR / Payroll, Rostering, and / or Finance systems utilizing major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions (e.g., SAP S / 4HANA, SAP ECC6, Infor Workforce Management or similar).Expert knowledge of PRINCE2 methodology and proven ability to produce high-standard project management products (e.g., Business Cases, PIDs).Outstanding negotiation, consultation, and meeting facilitation skills in a complex stakeholder environment.Proven ability to work with and influence senior stakeholders and manage third‑party vendor contracts.Experience in the Health Sector and / or complex Government project environments is a significant advantage.Relevant qualifications (PRINCE2, MSP, ITIL, Agile, or SAFE accreditation) are highly regarded, as is knowledge of the SAP Activate methodology.What's On Offer
