Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Building Surveyor to join our growing Code and Building Compliance team across Australia and New Zealand. We are looking for someone to support a variety of different projects across the country including large commercial buildings, airports, schools and many more. In this role you will have an exciting range of opportunities to develop your career within a supportive and diverse team who always strive to do the right thing for our people, clients and communities.

In this role, you will work across a huge range of different activities :

  • Help assess building designs against the provisions of the National Construction Code / Building Code of Australia for a range of building classifications.
  • Liaise with clients and prepare the National Construction Code / Building Code of Australia compliance reports.
  • Collaborate with clients to help upgrade their fire safety measures.
  • Enjoy site visits to view progression and completion of the large projects.
  • Help prepare “Performance Solution” Design reports for non-fire performance solutions.
  • Opportunity to lead a team and help develop junior building surveyors.
  • Requirements And Qualifications

  • Must be an Australian Citizen / Permanent Resident.
  • Post graduate qualification in ‘Building Surveying’ or a similar stream along with relevant industry experience.
  • Current Registration as Unrestricted Building Surveyor.
  • Love to collaborate with clients and other teams within the projects.
  • Knowledge of the performance requirements of the BCA.
  • Familiar with the construction industry and capable of being accredited as a Building Surveyor (Restricted).
  • Be familiar with the Work Health and Safety requirements for the office and onsite.
  • Personal drive, results-orientated with a friendly, can‑do attitude and a high level of honesty, integrity, commitment and responsibility.
  • Strong time management and organisation skills.
