About The Opportunity : An exciting opportunity exists to join our high performing Clinical ICT Operations Team. We are recruiting a temporary full time System Analyst. The successful candidate will be primarily working at John Hunter Hospital or Royal North Shore Hospital; however, we offer flexible working arrangements which include up to two days per week working from home. The successful candidate will provide support for systems such as Auslab, AMS, and Remisol, along with integration support for EMRs and the electronic delivery of results to GPs. Also, will provide project support including Alinity rollout and the Auslab Infrastructure Refresh project. What You’ll Be Doing
Ensure that Laboratory Information System (LIS) and LIS-related applications functionality is implemented, maintained and developed to meet business needs and enable more appropriate and effective use of diagnostic services. This includes configuration, problem management, change management and project support.Provide a timely response to the resolution of Laboratory Information Management Systems problems.Maintain and improve IT links with customers, enabling improved service delivery.Qualifications
Relevant qualifications or recent workplace experience in either biological sciences or IT, e.g. Biomedical Science / Pathology or relevant IT tertiary / postgraduate qualifications.Experience as a member of a pathology end-user department with understanding of diagnostic laboratory processes and workflows.Experience in providing support in a clinical setting – application, technical scientific or training support role.Demonstrated understanding of project management and project life cycle; experience working on projects.Analytical and problem-solving abilities; able to work both in a team and individually.Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a commitment to high-quality customer-focused services.Experience using issues tracking and project-management software such as Atlassian JIRA and Confluence.Additional Information
