Senior Zoologist

We currently have an opportunity for a senior level zoologist to work in our passionate Terrestrial Fauna Team. We are interested in Senior Zoologists and above that can manage projects, lead surveys, and write technical reports.

About the role :

Based in our Perth office, our Fauna Team are leading experts in their field, with demonstrated experience in undertaking detailed fauna surveys, targeted significant fauna surveys, technical reporting, and impact assessments. We have a large pipeline of current and upcoming exciting projects spanning across the Pilbara, Central Deserts, Mid-west, Goldfields, and Southwest regions of Western Australia.

Day to day tasks would involve :

• Run exciting projects involving multiple baseline and targeted fauna surveys.
• Ability to lead surveys with multiple teams and / or complex logistics in a range of remote and diverse environments across Western Australia.
• Analyse ecological data and prepare clear, concise technical reports tailored to our clients needs.
• Liaise with internal and external subject matter experts.
• Prepare proposals, budgets, and tender documents.
• Provide technical support and advice to the terrestrial fauna team.
• Opportunity to collaborate across various ecological disciplines (aquatic ecology, flora and vegetation, marine science, environmental impact assessment, mine closure and rehabilitation).
• Receive mentoring to develop your technical skills further, driving your career progression.

To be successful for this role you’ll need :

Arid zone / desert survey experience.
