Electrical Design Engineer

About The Role

We are seeking Electrical Design Engineers in our Telecommunications team based out the Melbourne CBD with flexible working conditions available.

Working within our Critical Infrastructure division the successful applicants will assist in the development of electrical detailed designs, produce cost estimates of materials and labour, assist construction team during the construction of the projects and update database and as built drawings.

About You

Preferable experience and knowledge of but not limited to

Previous experience as an Electrical Engineer / Designer

Technical fluency on Low Voltage and DC power

Proficiency on bill of quantities preparation

Proficiency in interpreting CAD drawings

Competency in MS Office especially with MS Excel to prepare bill of quantities and tender costs estimates.

MS Access MS Power Automation and Power Apps desirable

A current manual drivers licence

Be prepared to work away from home when required

Knowledge of ISO

• OH&S legislation / guidelines and environmental legislation / licensing

Desired skills

Develop technically fit for purpose solar and battery designs for commercial market segment

Have proficient knowledge of the solar industry and solar related regulations and requirements

Basic understanding of LV / HV AC electrical systems
