We have an opportunity for an experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to join a highly talented group of professionals involved in the design and construction of mineral processing, hydrometallurgical and materials handling projects in Australia and overseas.

The Role : Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be client facing and leading the Mechanical discipline across a number of projects. Your responsibilities will cover (but not limited to) :

Developing mechanical engineering deliverables including equipment datasheets, specifications, calculations, and plant layout and design. Providing project review of engineering deliverables. Co-ordinating with designers and drafters. Reviewing progress and schedules Providing input to engineering, and cost estimates. What you will bring to the Role : High level communication skills – written and verbal. Ability to produce study estimates. Ability to manage studies and small to medium design projects. Excellent organisational and time management skills for systems and follow up. Software experience with : Fluid Flow, Sidewinder, or Helix is highly regarded. Strong computer literacy skills within a Microsoft office environment. Attention to detail, excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Ability to take ownership of work. You will have the following Experience & Qualifications : Proven leadership experience in a similar role. Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. 10+ years minerals process plant design experience including wet / hydrometallurgical process plant is preferred. Experience with bulk solids handling and conveyor design. Site experience during construction and commissioning highly desirable. What we will offer you : Competitive remuneration.
