Requirements
You will be an Incorporated Engineer with Membership CIBSE with a willingness to work toward Chartered Engineer with Membership of CIBSE.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the implementation and delivery of mechanical services (advice, design, project administration and maintenance) to the Council and its service departments and to external agencies. Supporting the efforts of the Council to deliver the city's Local Area Energy Plan, you will aid in the delivery of asset decarbonisation through expansion of heat networks. The post holder will also be responsible for the leadership and co-ordination of a team / s of professional / technical staff in relation to the management of the policies and procedures of the Department.
The Individual
You will have relevant experience of the design and implementation of architectural / building construction projects, experience of management of projects and staff, AutoCAD skills and project management including budgeting processes along with experience of partnering, project programming, of JCT forms of contract, understanding of CDM 2015 regulations and its application and working knowledge of Microsoft Packages, including Office 365, Teams, Word, Excel. Effective time management skills to achieve project objectives, good negotiating skills at all levels with the ability to work with people in other professional disciplines and deal directly with clients are essential. You will have up to date knowledge of technical standards and statutory requirements along with presentation skills.Tips : Provide a summary of the role, what success in the position looks like, and how this role fits into the organization overall.
