Position ScopeReporting to the Superintendent-Electrical, Refrigeration and Site RSO your role will include :
- Maintain all plant refrigeration, air conditioning and electrical equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Prioritise refrigeration, air conditioning and electrical equipment breakdown maintenance and contribute to timely completion of repairs.
- Routine checks on all Air Conditioning and Refrigeration equipment.
Provide own isolations for refrigeration, air conditioning and electrical equipment.
- Complete planned and unplanned fixed plant maintenance including servicing and repair of plant equipment.
- Complete preventative refrigeration, air conditioning and electrical equipment maintenance schedules.
- Complete a range of multi skilled tasks associated within the normal trade role.
- Provide practical and technical assistance in problem solving in trade related areas
- Supervise refrigeration contractors as required.

- Role Responsibilities
- Compliance with personal Duty of Care, CPM policies and procedures and statutory requirements
- Support production targets by optimisation of equipment availability by ensuring all area mechanical equipment is maintained in a safe and efficient manner.
- Reporting of any incident / injury or damage to personal or equipment as soon as practicably possible.
- Respond to operational stoppages, diagnosis and fault of finding plant defects during operations.
- Support departmental goals, setting and maintaining high Safety, Health, Environment and Technical standards.
- To ensure all area refrigeration, air conditioning and electrical equipment is maintained and operated in a safe and efficient manner.
- Liaise with production personnel, DCS operators and maintenance personnel to ensure equipment is configured for process demands.
- Assist in meeting maintenance and equipment availability targets. Complete maintenance tasks on fixed plant equipment.
- Ensure that all relevant information is transferred to the Supervisor and is accurate and concise.
- Create SAP maintenance notifications.
- Review safe work procedures on a regular basis
- Responsible use of workshop and personal tooling supplied by the company.
- Compliance with the CPM dress standard.
- Adopt work practices that are safe and provide a clean and tidy work environment at all times.
- Maintain quality work reports for continuous improvements and equipment reliability whilst maintaining the electrical log book.
- Position Requirements
- Knowledge Of all refrigeration and air conditioning systems inclusive of packaged chiller units, package air conditioning systems, split systems, industrial water chillers, ice machines and domestic refrigeration.
- Exposure to conditioning monitoring
- Excellent communication and computer skills (SAP Preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret Drawings, schematics and PID's
- Experience with Variable Speed Drives (VSD's), Programmable Logic Control (PLC's) and Communication Protocols.
- Wet Plant Experience Skills
- Demonstrated safety leadership.
- Previous experience as an electrical / refrigeration technician in a fixed plant.
- Team member with the ability to work unsupervised for extended periods.
- Ability to read and interpret Drawings, schematics and P&ID's.
- Good understanding of principles of computer based instrumentation circuitry.
- Good attitude to personal safety.
- Complete maintenance tasks on fixed plant equipment.
- Ensure that all relevant information is transferred to the Supervisor and is accurate and concise.
- Create SAP maintenance notifications.
- Review safe work procedures on a regular basis

- An understanding of Workplace Health and Safety and Environmental procedures.
- Previous experience with shift work.
- Knowledge and compliance with Mine and Electricity regulations and Acts.
- Previous FIFO experience.
- Experience
5 years post trade experience in mining or industrial maintenance fields.
- Qualifications / Certificates
- Current Western Australian Unrestricted or Restricted
Electrical Licence
- Trade Certificate in Refrigeration Fitting
- Full RAC Refrigerant Handling Licence

- Forklift Licence
- Working form heights certificate
