We currently have an opportunity for a Divisional Program Support Officer. Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia's future.
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including :
Contribute to the development and improvement of business processes and administrative practices.Coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure consistency and timeliness of business operations across the division.Assist with general business administration functions across the division, working closely with leadership teams.Support governance and oversight activities such as managing ministerial submissions and internal reporting.Provide strategic business support through the coordination of executive-level communications, briefings, and documentation.What You'll BringA collaborative and proactive approach to supporting senior leaders and cross-functional teams.Experience supporting governance, reporting, and ministerial processes within Defence or a similar organisation.Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in preparing executive briefings and formal documentation.Proven experience in strategic business or program management within a Defence SPO or Branch-level setting.You must have and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.More than anything, you'll bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients. _Why Downer Professional ServicesAt Downer Professional Services, we're not just a workplace - we're a business dedicated to contributing to the shaping of the future of defence in Australia.
